founded in 1884, the clube naval or navy club of rio moved to its current location in 1911. it is located in downtown rio, on avenida rio branco, set amid the beautiful architecture of the avenida central.

members of the club can enjoy its social and cultural activities.

the facilities at rio branco offer exhibits, themed parties and a yearly dance commemorating the anniversary of the naval battle of riachuelo, a key turning point in the paraguayan war, on june 11 1865.
