the instituto casa de cultura rio - iccrio, was created to introduce to rio the method suzuki of music teaching.

this innovative system was used to teach violin to children and adolescents.  to this day the iccrio offers classes of violin, piano, and cello among other things.

this institute is also sponsoring the social projects aimed at helping lower-income young cariocas with a musical inclination.
