commonly imagined as a small boy with one leg, a lit pipe and a red cap, there are three types of sacis: saci-trique, is the most playful and benign of the three. saci-pererê is darker-complected and darker-tempered, though not outright evil. last is saci-sacura, whose red eyes and all-black complexion mark him as the most malevolent of the lot.

legend has it, that all of the sacis live in whirlwinds and dirt devils, and can be captured by throwing a screen or a string of rosary beads into a whirlwind as it spins.
