the museu do bonde displays 300 pieces that illustrates the history of rio's tramways since 1865, when the trolleys were still being pulled by donkeys.

the collection includes some of the original trolleys, photographs, recordings, and conductor uniforms of the time. also on display are balusters, bells, watches, and a variety of replica miniatures.
