paraty boasts many incredible beaches including praia do sono with its amazingly white sand and crystal clear water, and also a cave called gruta da praia do sono. a tiny fishing community lives there and it is accessible from a trail starting from laranjeiras condominium.

trindade is another beach to visit and perhaps the most famous in the area. hippies frequented this beach during the 'free love' movement of the sixties. nowadays surfers partucularly appreciate this beach due to the favourable surfing conditions and large waves.

prainha on the other hand, is a beach that might appeal to scuba divers, because the water here is very calm and dark green. there is also a quiet bar reached from the praia grande trail.
