the beach is situated to the left of pedra da tartaruga, with almost no visible sand - the white beach on the right is praia do perigoso. 

following praia dos búzios, after a short walk continuing past pedra da tartaruga, hikers reach praia do perigoso (beach of the dangerous), also known as praia pequena (small beach) or perigosinho (a bit dangerous).

legend has it this beach is named this way because supposedly it was the last part of the route followed by dangerous criminals, who managed to escape the prison that once existed on ilha grande - despite the name, this beach is not unusually dangerous and offers about 150 meters of beautiful white sand, clean waters, great views, and and flush vegetation.
