at a glance

it is not recommended to try and reach any of these beaches  by walking along the coast on the rocks, as the tides can change suddenly and the rocks are slippery, with no readily available medical help in case of accidents. for all these beaches, a local guide should be hired, for safety and also because the hiking trails have bifurcations that lead nowhere.

descending to praia funda is done using a rope secured to the rock - this task is  managable even for non experienced hikers in reasonable physical shape. efforts are rewarded by reaching a 300 meter beach of soft white sand and incredible waters.  surrounded by thick vegetation and steep slopes on all sides, praia funda is nothing short of a tropical paradise.  arrow-back     arrow-forward
