flamengo park offers wide bike paths and tranquil scenery, a perfect place to cycle to, with a picnic and a bottle of wine in toe. the path is also connected to botafogo, so it is possible to ride straight to the waterfront from the park, eventually reaching downtown leblon.

riding the climbing road that snakes its way to christ the redeemer is a tough but rewarding ride. some of this route involves traversing streets without designated paths so a tour guide is advised.
