the parque estadual da chacrinha is one of the most beautiful, yet least visited, eco-gems in rio de janeiro. located right in copacabana, this park is extremely convenient to access from the metrô station arcoverde via  rua guimarães natal, but visitors must bring a form of identification to gain access.

open between 8 am and 5 pm every day except on mondays, and built with tables, chairs, and even public grills, this area is rich in vegetation and local fauna, and offers a wonderful alternative to visitor short of time, who wish to stay near the familiar ipanema or copacabana.
