of course, for out-and-out carnivores there is certainly more choice. churrascarias, or grill houses, are widespread in rio and can be found everywhere, and catering for all tastes and budgets, they are a meat-eater's dream.            

a variety of meat is cooked over hot coals, before being carved from a skewer by passadores (meat waiters), straight on the customer's plate,  in the rodizio style of service. restaurant's offering this style often have a fixed price 'all-you-can eat' menu, drinks are charged separately.
