carioca da gema is situated in the heart of the loud and bustling streets of lapa. the music here is all about samba and choro. although this traditional establishment can get very busy at weekends it is open all through the week and on any day visitors will get to hear some of the best music brazil has to offer. the building itself is attractive and the action takes place over 4 rooms in this two story townhouse. the owners have kept the interior traditional and this adds to the charm of the place.
