the maze inn is a live jazz hot-spot and bed and breakfast is located at the top of the tavares bastos favela in catete. the views from the top of the favela from the venue are absolutely breathtaking, as is the journey up by moto taxi! on nights of live music there is a 50 reals cover charge, and the jazz takes place on the 1st and 3rd friday of the month. the venue also serves food and has regular barbecues. as well jazz music occasionally rock or other genres will be played. considered one of 'the best jazz music venues in the world', the maze puts on a full and varied programme.
