enjoyable chaos ensues as the band marches but there is a great deal of planning involved and the police makes sure to keep a watchful eye over proceedings.  

often crowd members are picked out to dance by the hired drag queens, and audience participation is certainly encouraged - those characters, all dressed in bright, bold, and eye catching costumes, entertain the crowd with a mix of comedy and showmanship.
