among the establishments present in the cantagalo community are a few restaurants - the pizzeria talento do trigo, located on noel rosa street 1,  offers several types of pizzas at a good price - the establishment is part of a wider franchise, showing the kind of new markets the restructuration of the favelas is now drawing.

furthermore, there are also pousadas that offer restaurant services, not only to the guests but also to casual clients - among them,  the most well-known is the pousada favela cantagalo, situated on 200 saint roman street - known for its buffets, the establishment has a very good name and became part of the local touristic itinerary.
