garrafa de nansen restaurant has been serving the region for over 40 years. interestingly, it is named after an instrument crafted by nobel prize winning norwegian, fridtjof nansen.

the garrafa, or bottle in english, was used to collect test samples from the deep-sea to be analyzed for salinity, oxygen and nutrient content - all science aside, this modest eatery boasts an extensive menu that specializes in fish and seafood, as well as a short but sufficient list of meat, poultry, pastas and pizza.

the pizza is only served after 5, and if someone is looking to do a little work or correspondence with dinner the restaurant has wi-fi available.
