armação beach is the departing point for boats known as schooners, from here visitors can catch a ride to a number of other beaches in the area from the morning right through the evening - it is also possible to hitch a life to one of the islands from the beach, with journeys taking anywhere from two to five hours, depending on the destination.

the price is also dependent on the final destination and extras included in tour, such as lunch or beverages - drinks can always be bought onboard the schooners, with a selection of fruit juices and alcohol available.
