at a glance

a slightly more adventurous way to get close to nature is rafting down a river - the route is approximately six kilometers in length and takes a heart-pounding two hours to complete.

the scenery is beautiful and it is one of the only ways to view the riverbanks, which are packed with curious plants and creatures - participants must be over eight years old due to the nature of the ride and the raft is only able to take five people at a time, including the instructor.

there is a more advanced option in the 'duck', a smaller vessel designed for two people who wish for a bumpier ride, and for all rides everyone must attend a safety presentation, with rafting trips start at either alto macaé or macaé beach.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
