after arriving visitors should find it easy going getting around the place, as everywhere is well signed and the roads and paths are in good condition - rua josé bento ribeiro dantas runs right through the city, from the entrance all the way to ossos beach, so it is a useful thoroughfare.  

once the tarmac hits downtown, it becomes known as the famed rua das pedras where there are bars, restaurants, and art galleries galore - the road then morphs into the bardot beachfront where travelers can access one of the most scenic beaches in the area, azeda beach.

many smaller roads branch of this main artery and lead to other pretty locations in búzios - the beach of geribá, for example, has many access roads, the principle one being from manguinhos square.
