favela receptiva allows guests to be in close contact with the rain forest -  located near rocinha in the small favela vila canoas, it is near pedra da gávea, pedra bonita, waterfalls, and the beaches of são conrado and pepino - it also uses a 'home stay' structure where visitors are placed inside residents' homes.

the pousada favelinha is located in the morro vila pereira da silva (o pereirão) a community bordering the zona sul of rio near santa teresa,  laranjeiras,  and the favela tavares bastos.
