originally opened in 1955, the collection includes 38,000 pieces of historical currency, and 45 pieces of artwork linked to the institution, amongst many more intriguing artifacts.

fully computerized, the library holds an incredible collection of literature in the field of art and social sciences, whilst the theatres and cinema put on some thought-provoking productions, aiming to increase the cultural richness of the city.

approximately 140 thousand documents on general information and the economy,  as well as newspaper collections, are available for study.
