the cultural center laurinda santos lobo is located on rua monte alegre 206, in the neighborhood of santa teresa in metropolitan rio de janeiro.

established in 1979, the cultural center offers a series of workshops, photographic exhibitions, and seminars relating to the arts community in the city.

the center was created upon the suggestion of a group of elite residents of santa teresa, though it was built as far back as 1907, for the baronesa de parina.  

situated on a hill, the house displays gorgeous views of the neighborhood and splendid gardens that certainly make the grounds worth a visit.
