the on-site store contains scientific books, theses and conference proceedings, a video library of approximately 1,400 titles, and a large collection of rare books, some dating back to the early 1900s. moreover, it also has access to the main global databases in the area of health sciences.

the site of the foundation, consists of buildings of two different architectural styles, those designed by the architect and engineer luiz moraes jr. between 1904 and 1912 including the castelo mourisco, the pavilion clock, the stable, the evandro chagas hospital and the tea house or casa de chá.
