the zoo is set up along a path, so that visitors can get to see each part by taking a walk along the garden, divided in four main sections.

the main areas are somewhat different from one another, with very impressive and pleasant being the one dedicated to farm animals - particularly interesting for educational purposes.

the newly added passarela da fauna is a wooden walkway above ground leading through the field, where the animals are free to run around  - deer, tapirs, capybaras, ostriches, aquatic animals, turtles and seabirds can be seen here.
