at a glance

the buildings are connected by an enclosed glass walkway and are covered by a concrete wave-like canopy, uniting them aesthetically and sheltering an events space and outdoor bar on the rooftops - from here visitors can take in remarkable views of rio's port district, guanabara bay and the impressive niterói-rio bridge.

the palace built in 1916, now an official heritage site, has been beautifully renovated, while maintaining its classical and traditional feel.

internal walls were dismantled creating eight double-height exhibition halls, and several of the building's features have been maintained and restored such as an old elevator and dome - here diverse art and photography exhibitions can be seen.  arrow-back     arrow-forward
