at a glance

located in a high-end neighborhood by the same name, itacoatiara beach has an elegant atmosphere, it is always clean, and the purposively unpaved roads rich of flowers and trees add a romantic and bucolic component to the experience.

this beach can only be reached via rua matias sandri, a narrow road connecting it to more trafficked avenues - buses and minivans are not allowed on this road, thus visitors going via public transportation have to add a 15 minute walk from the closest bus station to get to the sand.

on the side of the morro das andorinhas, the rock formation dividing praia de itacoatiara from praia de itaipú, there is a very small but extremely popular beach nicknamed prainha de itacoatiara.  arrow-back     arrow-forward
