these wild beaches can be reached both via land, and via sea - although the sea route is subject to tides and weather conditions. the trail to the beaches starts at the end of the rua parlon siqueira, past the houses facing praia barra de guaratiba.

one single trail connects all five beaches - from the first one, praia dos búzios, to the last one, praia do inferno, it spans about 3,500 meters (2.3 miles) and takes three hours each way to complete. 

many stations along the way offer spectacular views, such as the pedra da tartaruga, between praia dois búzios and praia do perigoso, and the even higher pedra do telégrafo, between praia do meio e praia funda.
