at a glance

while the first portion of the trail is not particularly difficult, the route becomes increasingly challenging after each beach. hiking to the beaches might be more challenging than reaching them via boat, but it rewards some spectacular views of pedra da gávea, pedra da tartaruga, the surrounding hills, the vegetation, the ocean, and the islands in the area.

it is feasable for people who are not familiar with the trail to reach the beaches unaccompanied, however we highly recommend hiring a private guide for safety and convenience reasons.                       arrow-back     arrow-forward
