at a glance

the park is populated by dozens if not hundreds of 'cutias' (agoutis), small brown animals, that calmly rest in the grass and among the many cats that also made this park their home.  the campo de santana occupies an area of approximately 150,000 square meters - divided among graveled passageways, 4 small lakes, an artificial cave and cotias, gooses, ducks, small monkeys, and even peacocks.

the instituto do patrimônio histórico e artístico nacional - iphan (the national institute for the historical and artistic patrimony) granted this park the title of national patrimony, already protected as state heritage.   arrow-back     arrow-forward
