at a glance

the road connecting the rest of rio de janeiro to the entrance to the marambaia sandbank, goes through a protected area, and as a result the fleet of authorized buses that go back and forth on this line is limited, and rides are not very frequent.

getting to this part of the city from zona sulis time consuming due to traffic and narrow roads, thus we recommend starting the day very early.

even better, it would be spending one night in a local pousada, so to start exploring right away the following day.

estrada de grumari connects grumari beach to estrada roberto burle marx, and in turn to the marambaia.          arrow-back     arrow-forward
