while by bus, average travel time is about 120 minutes each way, at a roundtrip cost of about 30 reals per person, depending on the buses line. 

getting to this part of rio via bus can be a bit complicatedfor visitors who are not familiar with the city, or not fluent in portuguese.   

starting from the zona sul, in ipanemanear praça general osório where the subway stops, bus line 2334 (campo grande x castelo) stops at avenida rainha elizabeth da bélgica 11, brs3 - a five minute walk from the subway stop towards copacabanabeach.
