nearby, for the zona oesteof rio, in the neighborhood of jacarepaguá, access is from estrada de jacarepaguá, continuing into estrada do itanhangá, and finally via estrada das furnas.

the park is open daily between 7 am and 6 pm, with schedule subject to change depending on season and the various access points, thus we always recommend checking with a local guide before going, and arranging for a ride back in advance if relying on private transportation.
