at a glance

restrooms can and should be used if they exist in the area - if there are no restrooms available, visitors may dig a hole six inches deep at least 60 feet from any water source, trails or camp sites, anywhere where vegetation does not need to be removed.

while nobody is required to do so, picking up small items left behind by others is a courtesy to all and an important contribution to making sure nature is preserved.

throughout rio de janeiro, often volunteers enter parks and reserves specifically to clean up after the people who did not care enough to respect these rules and left trash behind.  arrow-back     arrow-forward
