restinga de jurubatiba national park is shared between macaé and neighboring cities carapebus and quissamã - the park serves as a shelter for many animal and plant species at risk of extinction, with 44 kilometers of coastal beaches and 18 coastal lagoons, it is one of three national parks where the coexistence of environmental protection and sustainable fish harvesting can be witnessed.
