at a glance

in addition to the kiosks located along the promenade, there are a few vendors that sell drinks and natural snacks, sandwiches, matte, and fruit juices right on the beach.

there are no public restrooms on this beach, or sporting infrastructures - there are, however, lifeguards on duty.

itacoatiara is a word of the indigenous tupi language, meaning inscribed rock, or rock with drawings on it.

on this page we posted some photographs of praia de itacoatiara, prainha de itacoatiara, and the road leading to these beaches.

700 meters long, itacoatiara beach is set between the morro das andorinhas on one side, and alto mourão on the other - the pedra do elefante is also clearly visible and seems as being part of alto mourão.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
