praia do cáis (beach of the pier), is located in the enseada of jurujuba, in niterói.

spanning only 90 meters, this is one of the smallest beaches in the region, yet possibly the most interesting and charming among all.

the extremely calm, greenish waters of this tiny bay are perfectly protected against high tides and strong winds, and make the perfect location to safely station small and mid-sized fishing boats.

the waters are not always appropriate for swimming, due to pollution and the presence of many boats.

when possible, the local children play both on the sand, and in the waves, essentially being the only ones to use this area for leisure.
