at a glance

praia do cáis is barely visible from the road, as it is quite small, slightly lower than the street level, and many trees obstruct the view from the asphalt.

mostly frequented by fishermen and their families, this beach has dozens of colorful fishing boats stationed in the water and on the sand.

a large pier on the right side of the beach gives name to this beach, and it is constantly live with activity as fisherman dock here to load and unload throughout the day and at night.

on the left side of the beach, under the shade of many palm and chestnut trees, local elders can be seen repairing the fishing nets used at sea by the younger fishermen.    arrow-back      arrow-forward
