at a glance

watching the parades and taking part in them are two great experiences, yet one is very different from the other.

marching is wonderful, but does not allow a true vision of the show in its completeness, and watching it is highly entertaining, but does not transmit what it feels like to be part of it.

those who are pressed for time and wish to both take part in the parades and watch them, could purchase costumes for the very first samba school scheduled to enter the sambódromo, so that enough time is left to enter the stadium after the end of the parade to watch other schools perform.

the order of the samba schools in the parades is made available about three months before carnival, on the liesa website.
