a taxi ride from the zona sul to the corcovado train is about br$ 25, alternatively the buses 583 and 584  (cosme velho) stop along the zona sul and take right at the train.

via subway, the cristo redentor can be easily be reached by exiting at the largo do machado station, and continuing via one of the connecting metrôrio buses located at the exit.

once at the christ, at the top of the mountain, access to the actual statue is only possible via the local train.
