the rights granted to the worker via the ctps include unemployment insurance, social security benefits, fundo de garantia do tempo de serviço - fgts, and programa de integração social - pis. as the ctps is free to apply for and to obtain, it is a positive addition to the terms of employment, as it ensures these rights are maintained. however, the ctps is not granted to all foreigners who apply for one, as they need to fit into one of the following categories: seeking asylum, visitor with a temporary, working or permanent visa, somebody living near the brazilian borders and working or studying in brazil, refugees, artists or sportsmen, or professionals working for the brazilian government. |
