a work visa is only issued after approval by the local ministry of labor and employment office - mte. work visas are physically issued by the consular post of the applicant's country of legal residence under the authority of the ministério das relações exteriores, the brazilian ministry of foreign affairs. A variety of criteria must be met including having a proper employment contract, having the requisite work and/or educational experience, sufficient funds, and a medical examination. other requirements include in-person submission of paper application forms, and proof of residency for the last twelve months within the jurisdiction of the consulate where the application is submitted. |
