at a glance

locals and foreigners alike are required by law to carry a form of identification at all times - if a visitor does not want to carry an actual document, for fear of losing or damaging it, it is a good idea to carry of copy of a passport with the visa and entrance page included - many internet cafes around the city have photocopy machines which enables anyone to make copies of their passport.

for individuals who carry cellphones they could keep a photo of their passport, or alternatively have a copy of their passport in an email which is accessible with internet.

many clubs will require documentation at the entrance, both to check age requirements, and for payment - several high end clubs and bars require individuals pay for admission and drinks when exiting a club so at the entrance they will want to check your identification.
