Further to being a museums and a cultural center, CRAB is a market platform for Brazilian arts and crafts, aiming to improve the quality and marketability of Brazilian artisanal products highlighting its cultural peculiarities and its uniqueness.

Set within three historical buildings restored by the Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas de Rio de Janeiro - Sebrae and by the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional - IPHAN, The renovation preserved the original aspects of the buildings both inside and outside, creating a unique structure that reinvents the space as both a design store and a museum where culture and shopping interact.
