located 4kilometers from the centre of arraial do cabo, praia do pontal is 700 meters long with clear, blue water, fine sand, small dunes and salt marsh vegetation.

the water is generally calm and tranquil and the beach is ideal for scuba diving, kayaking and for fishing trawlers. occasionally, the sea is wild and conducive to surfing.
