the design
is reminiscent of the 'manuelino' style from portugal, but with
very austere lines, with some facades looking almost like a
fortification.
the only exception to this is the
azulejo tiles
with rococo themes on the front façade. these tiles were shipped in
from lisbon at the end of 18th century.
the convent includes a
church located on the right side façade and a bell tower on the
left side faced.
