pedra da arpoador boasts a small park with several trails reaching two small mirantes, and the back of the rock. much larger that it appears, the rock extends far in the back, a space much enjoyed both by local fishermen and sightseers - at the back of the rock the noise of the city fades away and is replaced by the sound of the waves crushing against the rock.

visitors are able to look out towards morro do leme, a huge mountain decked out with a fisherman's walkway -often packed tight with local fishermen going about their daily business in the hope of landing a big catch.
