it is located in a sort of small island connected to the shore by a pedestrian bridge. designed by brothers ricardo and renato menescal, it is still the neighborhood's social hub - one of the most beautiful views and highest points in joatinga is located between costa brava clun and joatinga condo.  

in september of 2006, the formerly unnamed mirante (viewpoint) was named after architect and professor ricardo menescal, a key player in the development of joatinga, along with his brother renato, as well as expert hiker and nature lover.
