on busy days such as sundays and public holidays, there are food stands selling snacks and refrehments such as sandwiches, hot dogs, beverages and ice cream. there is also a nice restaurant inside the park, occasionally hosting live music shows.

quinta da boa vista is easily accessed by the rio metrô line 2, all the way to são cristóvão station and following the signs. the park opens daily from 9am to 5pm and admission is free - the national museum and jardim zoológico - the rio de janeiro zoo,  are also located within the grounds of the quinta da boa vista.
