the enseada das estrelas (cove of the stars) is a lovely spot on the north side of the island - it is virtually completely enclosed by land, giving it an added sense of privacy, and its crystal-clear waters are filled with starfish - hence the name.

ideal for swimming, boating or just relaxing, the cove is also near to the very photogenic feiticeira waterfall - the tallest on the island, with a height of nearly fifty feet.

aventureiro beach is on the south-eastern side of ilha grande, nestled inside a massive inlet that makes up part of a state park and biological reserve, the reserva biológica estadual da praia do sul.
