located in the zona sul, within the neighborhood by the same name, flamengo beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in rio. set behind the aterro do flamengo, a natural park with thousands of tropical trees, designed by the famous brazilian ecologist roberto burle marx, this beach is invisible from the road.  many visitors coming to rio pass right by it, not ever knowing about it or how beautiful it is.
