along rua parlon siqueira, where the hiking trail starts, there is a small beach called praia do canto - on this beach there are small boats available for rides to the wild beaches.

these small boats can take visitors to any of the beaches, for a cost of about r$ 40 per person an up, depending on the type of tour or ride requested.              

when going by boat, water conditions do not always allow to disembark as waves can be quite strong on these beaches.

not all guides or tourism offices in ipanema or copacabana are familiar with guides and organizations located in this area, thus often boat rides must be arranged in person at the shops facing praia barra de guaratiba, or directly on the sands of praia do canto.
